OSRS Attempting to run OSRS DEOB VirtueOS - Having issues

Discussion in 'Help & Requests' started by Strict, Aug 30, 2018.

  1. Thank you guys for this community, I like the look of it and I think I will be sticking around for a while!

I just wanted to get into an actual OSRS Project, and I found my way to this website!

Currently I was able to import as a gradle project but I have some errors, after fighting few issues and getting rid of the errors I am now running into this issue

Inside of the README it directs "* Execute com.oldscape.tool.applet.GameApplet*"

As I execute that file, I get this error below.

    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.oldscape.tool.client
    at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(Unknown Source)
    at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)
    at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)
    at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)
    at java.lang.Class.forName0(Native Method)
    at java.lang.Class.forName(Unknown Source)
    at com.oldscape.tool.applet.GameApplet.startApplet(GameApplet.java:76)
    at com.oldscape.tool.applet.GameApplet.main(GameApplet.java:58)

Also, when I run the source I get this error:

    Exception in thread "main" java.io.FileNotFoundException
    at com.oldscape.tool.cache.FileStore.open(FileStore.java:106)
    at com.oldscape.server.game.Server.<init>(Server.java:205)
    at com.oldscape.server.Main.main(Main.java:66)

After tracing, this is something with the cache, how do I obtain the cache?

    Much respect

  2. First issue probably exsists because you didn't compile or something went wrong compiling. Second issue is because you didn't add a cache. You can get a cache from: Index of /
